In 1983 after working for four years for Nationwide Insurance Company where he offered association group health plans to members of farm co-operatives Lindy started working with his long term friend Robert Gent. Subsequent to Bob's retirement, he incorporated originally as Navigator Financial Group. In 2001 the company name was change to Desert Insurance Benefits. The agency moved to its current location at 1006 west Ivy street in 1998. In January 1997 tim McKenzie joined desert Insurance as an agent.
